Support Staff

Lara Carter, Office Manager

Lara has been a valuable member of our team since 1997.  Lara is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound.  Before she managed the office, her background as our physical therapy aide, receptionist, scheduler, and bookkeeper, have allowed her to understand patient needs from multiple perspectives.  She is always happy to help you with any questions you might have regarding insurance or billing.

Lara and her husband have a son and daughter that keep them extremely busy. In her free time, she enjoys watching her son play basketball, and just exploring Tacoma with her family. Just kidding, she doesn’t have any free time.

Sarah Brown, Front Office Assistant

Sarah is a graduate of Western Washington University.  Sarah answers the phone with a smile and is always happy to help you.  She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to understanding insurance companies, billing, codes, scheduling and especially authorizations. In her free time, she loves spending time outside with her dog Hudson.

Sarah also works part time as a personal trainer at Better Gym in downtown Gig Harbor. Please feel free to contact her if you have any questions regarding taking the first step to good health.

Kelly Klosterman-Drathman, Physical Therapy Aide

Kelly has been with Grant Spangle Physical Therapy for two years and we couldn’t imagine the place without her. As one of our aides, she is often seen helping out with exercises in the gym, helping patients with their heat/ice or pretty much doing anything that needs to be done.

Kelly lives on Fox Island with her husband two of her three sons. Being a mother of three grown children is still a job in itself. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, while enjoying the outdoors, paddle boarding, boating and rooting for Gonzaga. Go Bulldogs!

Dave White, Physical Therapy Aide

Dave is on his way to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant and began school this fall. He has been a super aide here at Grant Spanlge Physical Therapy since May and we’re glad that we get to keep him part time while he continues his studies.

Dave has spent the last 20 years in guiding and outdoor instruction. He’s an avid kayaker and skier. He is definitely a “people-person” and just enjoys all people, places and things. A lover of nouns, if you will. In what little free time he has, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his lovely wife, and traveling whenever they get the chance.

Caffrey, Canine Liaison

Caffrey has been the canine liaison for the last 5 years.  She is in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She loves greeting patients at the door, but loves it even more when they come bearing treats, and never fear, she knows who you are!  Caffrey can often be found running outside on the weekends. She loves to go on hikes and camping with her family.
